Types of Front Entry Doors
Fibreglass Doors
Fibreglass entry doors recreate the look of traditional wood doors and they can be stained or painted. They’re tough as nails, they won’t dent, warp, crack, or rot which is very important in our Canadian climate. They also provide insulation values up to R-7.
Steel Doors
Steel entry doors combine a durable metal skin and a foam-insulated core – they provide insulation values of R-8. They come in a variety of designs and can be painted to complement your home’s exterior.
Pivot Doors
A pivot door is becoming more popular for homeowners – you can customize the door to literally any material that you want. It’s a door that functions on a central point on which a mechanism swivels. A pivot door is different from a hinged door in that visible hinges on the side do not restrain the door; instead, it swings on a concealed axis a few inches from the opening frame. Since pivot doors do not shut on a door frame, weatherstripping and sealing are never as good as a hinged door.

Folding patio doors come with a retractable screen which functions on its own, regardless of whether panels are open or closed.
Parallel Slide Doors by Access Windows and Doors
Parallel Sliding Doors use scissor hinges that fit the active door into a frame ensuring the strongest seal and therefore high wind resistance and thermal performance. In contrast to traditional patio doors our parallel sliding doors come with a multitude of locking points all around the door, is incredibly secure to provide you and your family the highest levels of comfort and peace of mind. This door is ideal door system for rooms with access to a deck, patio, or balcony. Other popular uses for this door system are sunrooms, and walkout basement entry ways.

The crews were punctual, knowledgeable, friendly, readily adapted to small requests and changes. Their daily clean up was excellent. It’s been 4 months since the install the fit and finish looks very good.
Supply chain issues delayed the project but Francois sourced thicker insulation and did not increase the price to us.

Anyone looking to replace siding would be well advised to hire West Quality Construction Inc. We had our late 1950’s bungalow stripped to the bones this August 2014; they then installed insulation, Hardi Board siding, eaves and soffit with our complete satisfaction. The siding crew (Eric & Caroline) took care of every detail from stripping off the old stucco and two layers of siding to always cleaning up after each day’s work.This company is very professional leaving us extremely satisfied with all aspects of their work.
